I spent two hours at a local farmer's market this morning and ended up with a trunk full of yummy fresh produce. I love the flavor and texture of the fig cake sold at Whole Foods, so I couldn't wait a minute to make this when coming home with a basket of fresh figs today. I followed this recipe but tripled the amount of figs and halved the sugar & butter ( I don't like my cake too sweet).
Have a great weekend!

I have never thought about doing a fig cake before, but now...oh, I need to get an oven, right, in our little parisian flat we don't have one, but as soon as we have it, I will try it. (I do the same, sugar and oil (or butter) are "overdosed" in most recipes.)
