While cleaning out my closet this past weekend, I found this pair of shoes. Upon seeing them, I had all these good memories come rushing back. I bought these (as a reward for myself for getting the highest score on Organic chemistry midterm) with my first paycheck working as a lab assistant in college. This is the first pair of heels I've ever owned. I wore these to all my interviews for graduate schools to spice up my otherwise dull black suit. This is one of a few items in my closet that I will NEVER let go. What is yours? I would be delighted to hear your stories. :)

ReplyDeletefirst of all, these shoes are really nice and it's a perfect idea to have discrete uplifting colour stripes in "all black" outfit!
I am thinking of "that" pair of shoes which would last forever for me, but it seems like shoes don't last long with me, as it is quite difficult for me to find a pair in which I feel perfectly comfortable, I wear it then all the time and I usually wear it out in a couple of years :)
But I plan to take a picture of one of my mother's boots that made me dream during my childhood. And she still has them !
Last but not least, I wanted to mention that I like you approach to your blog, I mean, I would certainly like to see your lovely face ;) but when we see it on pictures just partially, it makes a nice balance between "talking about me" but also "letting the subject talk" :)

Yes! I know what you mean. My grandfather...who recently passed away used to buy me a new dress every year for my first day of school. I've saved all of them b/c I knew someday that when he would no longer be with me, I would want those as a reminder of how incredible sweet he was:)

Love the whole look. A piece I can't throw away is a dress that belonged to my mom. I can just remember her putting it on and I would sneak in her room when I was little and try it on with my clumsy attempts at makeup.:)

Hmmm, a favorite of mine would probably be...my brown Roxy boots. They work with just about everything I own. I remember finding them at a thrift store, but only one of the shoes was on the rack! I searched and searched before finally going up to the front and asking for help. They helped me, found the missing boot wedged under the shelf, and gave me a discount. Haha, best find I ever got!
